Account Manager

The Account Manager is responsible for the growth of Courseload’s long-term business with higher education institutions. Working with Courseload’s existing institutional customers and corporate partners, the Account Manager will serve as the primary contact for ongoing relationship management and will develop and manage strategic growth plans for assigned customers/partners. The Account Manager works internally and externally across functional teams and with people at all levels to ensure customers’ and partners’ needs are met. The Account Manager reports to the Senior Vice President of Sales.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct selling to higher education institutions
  • Experience within higher education or an education technology organization preferred
  • Accomplished in complex account management with a demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales and/or growth quotas
  • Proven success in managing a pipeline and quotas
  • B.S., B.A. degree required
  • Excellent customer-facing and relationship management skills
  • Strong competitive nature and desire to exceed sales goals
  • Genuine love for sales and adding revenue, no matter how large or small
  • Consultative solution-based selling experience
  • Ability to adopt and adhere to a defined sales process
  • Exceptional negotiation skills
  • Strong oral, written, and technology presentation skills
  • Highly organized analytical thinker

  • Ability to negotiate with multiple executive stakeholders across institutions, consortia, and statewide systems

What you’ll do

  • Accurately forecast sales opportunities in CRM system providing weekly pipeline updates
  • Design and execute an account plan that identifies strategic issues and growth opportunities as well as tactical plans to reach adoption targets for each assigned account
  • Create and build relationships with key stakeholders at the institutions as well as other partners such as publishers
  • Successfully manage strategic relationships with customers and corporate partners to achieve the highest level of customer/partner satisfaction
  • Present on-site and online product demonstrations
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create campaigns aimed at increasing adoptions for institutional customers
  • Deliver additional service proposals and renewal contracts to long term customers
  • Work effectively across functional teams to help deliver a great customer experience
  • Act as a customer advocate to ensure customer needs are met
  • Represent Courseload at conferences as needed
  • Provide input on RFP opportunities as needed
  • Ensure feedback loop is completed between customers/partners and Courseload’s internal teams
  • Identify, recommend, and contribute to the implementation of internal process improvements
  • Other duties, as assigned

Sale Operations Specialist

The Sales Operations Specialist, reporting to the SVP of Sales, works alongside the Sales Team interfacing with Finance, Marketing, Academic Services and Content Partnerships to drive sales productivity. Through the utilization of sales tools and other resources, this role is involved with sales tracking and forecasting, sales analytics and modeling, pipeline and contract management, Request for Proposal (RFP) coordination, sales on-boarding and content services support. In addition, the Sales Operations Specialist provides overall sales administration support to the SVP of Sales and Academic Partnership Management Team.

What we're looking for

  • B.S., B.A. degree desired.
  • Position is based in Indianapolis, and no relocation assistance is provided.
  • Prior sales operational support and experience in educational technology a plus.
  • Strong MS Office Skills, Google Docs and experience with NetSuite a plus.

What you’ll do

  • Serve as a project manager working alongside the Academic Partnership Executive Team to assist with the creation, review, timeline and formatting of proposals, Request for Proposals (RFP’s), and Request for Quotes (RFQ’s).
  • Help to maintain and oversee NetSuite records serving as a resource for the sales team for updating leads, prospects, customers, expired contracts, and other opportunities for accurate sales forecast and weekly pipeline reporting.
  • Maintain and assist with the development of the FAQ master document, customer list, contract database, statement of work along with other sales tools and surveys to support sales team members.
  • Collaborate with the SVP of Sales to assign, research and qualify initial leads that come through web inquiries and conferences.
  • Provide Content Services support researching content needs and Publisher agreement statuses.
  • Manage demo activities including the oversight of sandbox accounts, demo tracking and updating of training material.
  • Coordinate with the SVP of Sales to schedule and to assist with planning weekly and quarterly sales meetings, sales on-boarding and internal process improvements.
  • Other business development, marketing and administrative duties as assigned.
